New brand highlights digital, social and content marketing capabilities.

DALLAS—August 8, 2016—It’s not every day you see a 28-year-old firm act like a start-up. But today is one of them.

Michael A. Burns & Associates is both closing and reopening its doors as Burns360. The decision to rebrand the Dallas-based PR agency completes a three-year process of restructuring the firm beyond traditional media relations into an integrated communications company. Besides its core PR services, the agency has expanded its digital marketing, social media, content marketing and SEO capabilities.

The restructuring also includes a new logo and graphic standards, new website, an in-house SEO and digital marketing department, video production, enhanced website design and development capabilities, and B2B marketing research and consulting.

“We like the term “start-up” to describe who we are because the marketing and communications paradigms haven’t just changed, they’re in a constant state of flux that’s not going to stop,” Burns said. “We’re calling ourselves a “28-year-old start-up” today, and a decade from now, we still want to think like a “38-year-old start-up.”

“Big data and ongoing technology innovations make it increasingly possible to attribute leads, sales and other business outcomes to specific marketing initiatives. Accountability and measurable ROI are the very future of marketing, and we want to be ready for it,” he added.
